Sourcing 10 specialist CISO Candidates for a US-Based SaaS company

The Challenge

A 1000-employee US-based SaaS company needed to urgently find a new, specialized CISO in order to help them build their cybersecurity capabilities, after their previous one left the business. Not only did the new CISO need the right skill sets, it was important for the firm to hire a candidate who would also be a cultural fit, and work well with the wider leadership team.

Our Approach

Working under a tight deadline, we immediately contacted our extensive network of experienced CISOs at well-regarded software firms. We specifically looked for candidates at companies operating in similar fields, such as payment processing and fintech, to ensure we sourced specialists who exactly matched the client's mandate.

The RESULTS

We were able to headhunt and encourage a number of suitable candidates to be open to a new opportunity, and as a result sent 10 qualified, culturally-minded candidates to the client within the space of a week.

The client then screened and interviewed 5 of them, taking two through to the final stage of the interview process, before the hiring team settled on their final choice. 

Negotiations were swift, and the successful CISO is a great fit, still happily working for the client two years later.
